SACON Hostel has been divided into various sections. The PG Hostel accommodates 12 students of M.Sc. course on “Ornithology and Conservation Biology”. The other Hostels have been divided into Hostels (I and II) and Hostel Annex. Hostel I and II together can accommodate 16 hostellers. Hostel Annex accommodates 12 hostellers. A total of 40 students can be accommodated at SACON’s hostel facility.

SACON is running a canteen facility for hostel inmates, faculty, staff and for the visitors. The dining hall in the canteen can accommodate 50 persons at a time. The visitors can book their requirement (Breakfast, lunch, Dinner, Tea & refreshment’s etc.,) in advance on payment basis.
SACON is maintaining a guest house with four double occupancy rooms and a dormitory which can accommodate five guests. The guest house is facilitated with linens, geysers, Wi-fi connection, telephone, refrigerator and a mini gym. A table tennis court is also available in the guest house. The guest house will be allotted on payment basis subject to availability. The entire SACON campus can be viewed from the open terrace.
Guest House Rules
A roof garden with an area of 750 sq. ft is established on the roof top of Laboratory building to grow organic vegetables for our canteen use.
A kitchen waste composting unit is installed behind SACON Canteen to convert the kitchen wastes into organic manure. The organic manure produced is used in the roof garden for cultivating organic vegetables.
Three water holes each with 4500 liters capacity were constructed on campus to cater to the needs of birds and wild animals. These strategically located water bodies are being utilized by elephant, spotted deer, wild pig, gaur, and various birds. The tanks are connected with fresh water supply for regular replenishment.
The SACON campus has become 100% Wi-Fi enabled since March, 2017, which includes our main office, library, laboratory, hostel blocks (I & II), M.Sc., Hostel, Canteen and the Guest House. Twelve Wi-Fi devices have been provided on campus to enable the staff, research scholars and guests to access the internet connectivity at any time.
A car and two wheeler parking shed was constructed during March 2017 with an area of 2050 sq.ft. The facility is available to all staff, research scholars and the visitors.
Both indoor and outdoor recreation facilities such as volley ball, basket ball and football courts, cricket ground, and table tennis are available on campus.
New Indoor Gym Facility at SACON
A new indoor gym facility was created on 1st October 2019 in the Guest House of SACON. Dr. G. Umapathy, Principal Scientist, Laboratory for the Conservation of Endangered Species, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, inaugurated the new Gym. The Gym is equipped with Home-gym weight set-50 Kg, Double spring tummy trimmer, Pushup bars, Abs roller wheel, Pull-up bars and Exercise cycles. Dr. K. Sankar, Director, SACON also donated a elliptical trainer to the facility.
